This term Year 4 have been learning about Social Justice and what we can all do to make sure people with disabilities are treated fairly and have what they need to be able to participate equally in society.
As part of this unit, 'Some Else's Shoes', we had a special visit this week from Kim, a music therapist from Muddy Puddles. The students came up with some very thoughtful questions to ask her before the visit, which ensured that we all learnt a lot about her job and how she helps people with disabilities through music. Kim was also kind enough to share some of the songs she sings in her therapy sessions with the class.
It was a wonderful visit and we hope to see Kim again soon!
